| i just felt like blogging today - i know, i'm weird...
ahhh!!! higher education!! haha, woot! i'm actually excited at the prospect. i've been working full time and going to school full time since coming back from South Africa (post USC ^_^v <-- i'm still a trojan at heart) and i've been feeling like i'm about to burn out, but as life goes - small gifts come your way when you need them most.
i got a letter in the mail from IVC telling me that i had gone and earned myself an AA degree. HA! now, granted - not the most AMAZING thing in the world, but you know - it's a milestone. it's a stepping stone, it's a push in the right direction and dammit, it put a smile on my face :D
it's weird, it wasn't really anything of note at first, but now that it's setting in, i'm realizing what it means. i did it. i conquered one and now i'm one step closer to conquering the one that i want.
ATTENTION CALIFORNIA UNIVERSITIES, here i come!
i applied to the UCs already and i'm in the process of applying to a couple of the claremonts, occidental and possibly going back to USC (a BIG part of me wants to finish what i started, but the only problem is that USC's linguistics program isn't as strong as i'd like it to be, the only trade off is the USC alumni network which is PRICELESS).
OH RIGHT, AND i'm attempting to conquer my fear of heights this semester. you'd think that with all the dangerous things i do already i wouldn't be afraid of heights, but eh - it's getting better!

| to answer miho and johnny's questions:
she's from the oc animal shelter, my friend adopted her, but then he didn't have the time for her so he took her back (cry). NO BUENO! anyway, she's hyper and LOVEs to play with other dogs. i doubt that she'd tear your maltese to shreds, johnny, (even tho you might want that) but she'd definately give the maltese a run for its money. she's like 25 pounds ish. super sweet once she's gotten her work out. |
